Direct Connect

All you need is an ordinary corded or cordless phone. This method is better suited for residential users.

1. Find a spot in your home/office where you can receive good cell phone reception.
2. Plug XLink into a power outlet in the wall.
3. Plug any regular telephone into the telephone jack that’s located on the back of the XLink.
4. Pair and then connect your bluetooth enabled cell phone to XLink.

If you want to have access to multiple extensions throughout the house, try using a multi handset cordless home phone. If you would only like the cell phone to ring in one location, use a single handset phone.
Using House Wiring

1. Find a spot in your home/office where you can receive cell phone reception.
2. Plug XLink into a power outlet on the wall.
3. Disconnect your home wiring from your telephone company’s wiring. This can be accomplished at the demarcation point, or where your telephone services enters your house. If you are unsure how this can be done, consult a professional.
4. Using a regular telephone cord, plug the telephone jack on the XLink into a nearby telephone jack.
5. Pair and then connect your bluetooth enabled cell phone to XLink.

Any phone plugged into a telephone jack anywhere in your house will now become a cell phone extension.
PBX or KSU

1. Use a regular telephone cord and plug the XLink telephone jack into the CO line card of your PBX or KSU. The XLink will be juast another landline. The difference is that the dial tone, CLID, ringing voltage, etc. is coming from the XLink itself, and not the central office.
2. Plug XLink into a power outlet on the wall.
3. Pair and connect your bluetooth enabled cell phone to XLink.
4. You can also choose to use an extra pair of wires to position your XLink so that it is now located in the office of a specific user, instead of any particular phone room. This will allow all users to have access to that particular cell phone.

Any handset on your PBX or KSU that has previously the set up line appearance will now ring when the particular cell phone rings.
VOIP Gateway

XLink can provide the signaling required by the company Gateways for billing system use on most GSM networks.

1. Connect your XLink to the FXO port of an IP gateway or channel bank.
2. Pair and then connect your bluetooth enabled cell phone to XLink. This cell phone should remain in the same room as the Gateway.

Calls that come in through the IP gateway are connected through the cell phone to the final destination.
